This Notice does not apply to third-party websites, applications, payment providers, proxy providers, blockchain networks, or other external services that we do not own or control. Those third parties process personal data under their own privacy notices and terms.
The NOID End User License Agreement explains the rules for using the Website and the App. This Privacy Notice explains how personal data is handled.
Personal Data We Collect
We aim to collect only the personal data needed to provide, secure, support, and improve NOID.
The categories of personal data we may process depend on how you interact with the Website, the App, and related workflows:
- Account data: email address, authentication data, account ID, license or subscription status, and account-related records.
- Payment and license data: selected plan, account balance, top-up amount, payment amount, currency, payment status, transaction or payment identifier, linked payment method status, payment method identifier or token provided by the payment provider, limited card metadata such as card brand and last four digits where provided by the payment provider, invoice or receipt data, renewal or expiry information, and refund status.
- Website data: IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, referral source, approximate location derived from technical data, language preference, analytics data, and basic server logs.
- App technical data: app version, operating system, device type, license or activation status needed to provide access to the App, and hashed trial eligibility markers used to determine whether a trial has already been used for an account or device.
- Support data: messages, email correspondence, support chat content, attachments, screenshots, and diagnostic information you choose to send to us.
- Communication data: service notices, support replies, privacy requests, and marketing preferences where applicable.
- Third-party data: limited information from payment providers or other service providers, such as payment confirmation, transaction status, or fraud-prevention signals.
Browser identities, profile contents, browsing activity, traffic content, cookies, local files, account settings, presets, notes, tags, proxy lists, and similar App data are stored locally on your device. We do not collect or store your browsing history, traffic content, browser identity contents, local profile data, or user activity logs from your use of browser identities, except where you choose to provide such information to us, for example in a support request.
If you pay by card, your card number, CVV, and full payment card details are processed by the relevant payment provider and are not stored by NOID.
How We Use Personal Data
We use personal data for the following purposes:
- to create your NOID account, verify sign-in, keep account-related records, and show your license or subscription status;
- to provide access to the App, activate licenses, and manage subscription or license status;
- to determine trial eligibility and prevent duplicate or abusive trial use;
- to process payments, linked payment methods, subscription renewals, invoices, receipts, refunds, and payment-related support requests;
- to operate and maintain the Website, the App, accounts, licensing, and related services;
- to respond to support requests, account questions, data deletion requests, data access requests, and other inquiries;
- to remember website language preferences and provide localized website content;
- to understand how visitors use the Website, measure marketing performance, and improve the Website using analytics;
- to send service, account, billing, and administrative notices;
- to send marketing communications where you have consented to them or where we are otherwise permitted to do so by law;
- to prevent, detect, and respond to fraud, misuse, unauthorized account access, payment abuse, and violations of our terms;
- to comply with legal, tax, accounting, regulatory, and record-keeping obligations;
- to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and protect our rights, users, and business.
We do not use locally stored browser identities, profile contents, browsing history, traffic content, local cookies, local files, presets, notes, tags, or proxy lists for analytics, marketing, profiling, or user activity tracking.
Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable data protection laws require us to identify a legal basis for processing personal data, including UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and similar laws, we rely on the following legal bases:
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before the withdrawal.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider and balance our interests against your rights and freedoms.
International Transfers
We may process and transfer personal data in countries other than the country where you live, including the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, the United States, and other countries where our service providers are located.
Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, EEA, or another jurisdiction that restricts international data transfers, we use appropriate safeguards where required by law. These safeguards may include adequacy decisions, Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, data processing agreements, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
We only transfer the personal data needed for the relevant purpose. Locally stored App data, such as browser identities, profile contents, browsing history, traffic content, local cookies, local files, presets, notes, tags, and proxy lists, is not transferred by NOID because it is not collected by NOID.
Data Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
Locally stored App data, including browser identities, profile contents, browsing history, traffic content, local cookies, local files, presets, notes, tags, and proxy lists, is stored on your device and is not retained by NOID.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may have certain rights over your personal data, including the right to:
- request access to the personal data we process about you;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
- request deletion of your personal data;
- request restriction of processing of your personal data;
- object to certain types of processing;
- request a copy of your personal data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- opt out of marketing communications;
- lodge a complaint with a data protection authority or other competent regulator.
You can submit a request by contacting us at privacy@noid.net. We may ask you to verify your identity or provide additional information needed to process your request.
Some rights may be limited by applicable law. For example, we may need to retain certain records for tax, accounting, legal, security, or dispute purposes.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, or access.
These measures may include limiting access to personal data, using secure data transmission, controlling access to systems, selecting service providers with appropriate security safeguards, and maintaining internal processes for handling privacy and security requests.
NOID is also designed so that App data, such as browser identities, profile contents, browsing history, traffic content, local cookies, local files, presets, notes, tags, and proxy lists, is stored locally on your device and remains under your control.
However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of personal data.
Children
NOID is not intended for children. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account, purchase a license, or use the App.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal data to us, please contact us at privacy@noid.net so we can take appropriate action.
Automated Decision-Making
NOID does not use personal data to make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects for you.
Payment providers or fraud-prevention providers may use automated checks to process payments, prevent fraud, or comply with legal requirements. These checks are operated by the relevant provider and are subject to its own terms and privacy notice.
Changes to This Privacy Notice
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time to reflect changes in NOID, our data practices, legal requirements, or service providers.
The "Last updated" date shows when this Privacy Notice was last changed. If we make material changes, we will provide notice in a reasonable way, such as through the Website, the App, or email where appropriate.
